Design | Feasibility

A feasibility study or options appraisal is a fantastic opportunity to explore the potential of your property.  Perhaps you have in mind what your building needs to deliver and you just need to sense check whether what you have in mind works financially, structurally or is likely to gain consent from the local authority.

Or maybe you have a great asset, but want to understand what the options are for optimising its potential.  Whatever your needs we are experienced in undertaking both feasibility studies and options appraisals to ensure that you can get the best out of your asset.  We can provide a structured report with outline options drawings, liaise with local authorities and other specialists and draw up cost estimates for implementation and future maintenance.  We will ensure that we work with you to create a report that works for you, if you have an internal approval process we can contribute to business planning and investment appraisals in order to help ensure that the figures stack up.


Design | Architecture

From new builds to conversions, we have in-house expertise to develop plans, elevations or 3D visuals for your schemes.  We understand that a successful final scheme is a result of a strong collaborative approach with the client and any other consultants.  We know that behind a client is very often a team of other interested parties and we will work with them and undertake consultations with end users in order to ensure that the final designs tick all of the boxes.  Within our team we have experience in renewables and sustainability and can ensure that final proposals consider the future operational costs of the building.

At Evans and James we understand that every historic building is unique and requires a tailored approach to the building whether being repaired, refurbished or its use changed.  With a wealth of experience in working within the historic environment we understand how they should be conserved and repaired and how to sensitively adapt them in order to ensure they can continue to be fit-for-purpose and meet the needs of today in an economically and environmentally sustainable way.  We offer services relating to all matters of building conservation including:

At Evans and James we can work with you from inception, developing options designs all the way through to completion and management of the works on site.  We can prepare simple drawings or detailed specifications and manage the tender process to ensure that you get the best contractor for the job.
