Condition Surveys
Heritage Condition Surveys and Quinquennial Inspections are a core offer of our business
At Evans & James Heritage Consultants we understand the challenge of working with complex historic buildings and that each heritage asset is unique in its own right. A principal way in which you can gain an understanding of the building and ensure its longevity is to commission a condition survey or commit to a programme of quinquennial inspections.
Our qualified surveyors, working individually or as part of a multi-disciplinary team, can undertake comprehensive condition surveys and quinquennial inspections. This will document and explain the condition of the property and recommend remedial measures and actions that are required in order to maintain the building or bring it back up to the expected standard of repair.
Undertaking these surveys enable you to be proactive in scheduling and undertaking repairs before a feature fails and causes deterioration to other parts of the building. This enables you to undertake works on your terms, ensuring you have the budget allocated and in place and enabling you to undertake competitive procurement to seek best value for money.
We will develop an action plan for remedial works, categorising them under immediate, short, medium and long term actions. We can provide budget costings for undertaking the identified works so that you can plan ahead for ensuring that the building continues to be repaired, maintained and safe for the building occupants.
