Farm Building Inspection, North Yorkshire
Following the partial collapse of a roof, Evans & James were instructed to undertake an inspection of a number of adjoining and adjacent farm buildings which included two Grade II listed buildings. The site falls within Grade II registered Park and Garden.
The client instructed us to undertake a high level inspection to identify potential health and safety risks and defects requiring urgent attention. Due to the nature of the site layout, we advised the client that a drone survey was required to enable the condition of the roofs to be established. We engaged Survey Solutions who provided the drone imagery to support our assessment of the buildings.
Following the farm building inspection, we provided a detailed photographic report identifying areas of concern using a traffic light system to identify urgency.
We will be continuing to work with the client in acting as Project Manager for the demolition and re-build of the partially collapsed roof to one of the buildings in addition to exploring options for phasing further required repairs across the site.
